Enjoy the winter sunshine and an adventurous experience with your children in the Great Outdoors

If you have never wild camped before then make this your first time! Why not start the new year by experiencing something different!

Wild camping is camping away from a recognised campsite, high up in the mountains of Connemara. We provide you with the camping gear, teach you the skills needed, such as collecting water, cooking on a camping stove and ensuring you leave without a trace of your visit.

The rewards of having carried your kit up the mountain, been self-sufficient and felt part of the majestic landscape around you are immense and well worth the extra effort required. Go to sleep listening to the silence of the mountains and wake up to see the sun rise over the distant peaks.

We provide all the camping equipment (which is suitable for the cooler temperature) and you will be accompanied by a fully qualified guide.

6 places available

Cost: €150pp - Group discount available for 3 or more people

"There can be few things that gladden the soul on a spring morning more than dusting off the tent and heading out into our stunning countryside with all we need to survive on our backs. The comforting rustle of a night breeze on the fly-sheet, that pleasing "thuk" as the tent peg bursts through the grass into the soil below, the sun setting and rising behind the silhouette of the mountains." Michelle Casey aged 35

"I really enjoyed escaping from the modern world for 48 hours and being self reliant. I particularly enjoyed waking up and seeing the mist over the top of the mountains at 6am, and knowing that we had a full day of exhilarating walking ahead. Wild Camping now ranks in my Top 5 memorable trips!"
Edward Kiely aged 28

“I feel an incredible sense of achievement for spending a night out in the wild” Paul Dunne aged 49

“I was bursting, crossing my legs, trying not to picture rivers or waterfalls and imagining my tent rolling down the mountain. I did everything trying to avoid leaving my tent for a pee but I eventually gave into nature and lost all my inhibitions. I was later woken up by the sun and early morning calls and enjoyed the simple comforts of a well earned cup of tea while taking in stunning views …an experience I will never forget!” Laura Baird aged 30
